Need some assistance...Looking to purchase a 1970 SS. The car was built in late September 1969 in KC. The engine pad stamps for the Towanda and KC plant have a similiar sized font ( I have heard that this was not unusual for KC). In addition, the KC stamp is not upside down (I have heard some say that they were all upside down and other have stated that it could be right side up). Were all KC 1970 pad stamps upside down or did it vary? Were the stamps similiar in size? The pad appears to have broach marks on it. Any info would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

The stamps were similar in size, yes. Personally I have not seen a Kansas car that was not stamped upside down, but I'm sure there were variances, as the stamp was done by humans. Do you have a good picture you could email me to compare to known stamps that I have?
THanks,
