hey guys i have had this problem all year long
when i make a pass my dipstick will come clear out of the tube about 4 inches! and puke oil all over my headers and firewall
I have hillbillied it down with chicken-wire tied to the header and this works.. for about 10 passes then i can see the TUBE start to move out of the block  so i have to bang it back down in
Am i having that much crankcase pressure or what ??
ok now the real question HOW TO FIX IT!
I am doin a teardown of the motor for a new cam swap and thought about tapping the tube hole and screwing the tube into the block and that will fix that but what about the dipstick they dont have a locking OIL dipstick just a glide trans one
Should i look into the crankcase evac kit or what and if so anyone have any testimony of which kit or anything??
thank you all in advance

Do you have a PCV valve? Or at least a breather on the valve covers?

I've only got a breather right now since the 950 HP has no vac ports and it pukes oil all the time. Without a PCV, you'll have positive pressure in the crankcase.

My 427 was doing that last week, I would pop the throttle and the dipstick would pop right on out with it. Left a great looking mess all over my headers. The valve cover had breathers, I thought that was enough, then I got a PCV valve, and no more dipstick issues. It's unreal how much that helps to suck that pressure out of the block. Hook it up and you shouldn't see that happen any more.

OK well i DO have breathers in both valve covers now i will be goin to the 950hp next year does it have provisions for a pcv or will i have to tee it into my power brake hose and how will that work or not???
will i still have brakes or will the addition to the pcv into the brake booster hose mess that up
thank you

I had a tee on the back of my performer RPM,,,one for brakes, one for pcv, I no longer have a pcv valve, I have a KN push in filter in each valve cover and suprisingly enough, normal driving I don't get much blown out on the valve covers.

you will need a pvc valve or a evack system to help remedy the problem when the compression is high.i run an evac system on my drag car and had to push the dip stick back down after every pass. now since im from the south i remeded the problem with a old spark plug boot .the big end on the dip stick and push the small end down on the tube it holds it very well

Some of the people I know that race Dragsters (super comp) don't even have dipsticks for the same problem your having. But they also don't know how much oil is in the pan.
