: Starting a 66 SS project - need ideas!

OK, I just brought my 66 SS home today. It needs a paint strip and some minor metal work for fresh paint. I have been playing with my 85 Monte for 13 years and missing my old 66 from high school.. Anyhow I plan to install my 700 HP blown small block and TH400 from the Monte in my 66. I ran 10's in the Monte and had a full cage, etc. but don't want to put a cage in this original 66 SS and lose my back seat in the process. It has a 12 bolt 4:11 posi in it now and I have a 9" detroit locker with disc brakes in the Monte that I could swap (I hate the locker thump into gear though). I have to figure out what suspension to go with and am leaning towards SC&C stuff. I am not a "big rim guy" so 15" wheels are in order. I have the new Centerline Qualifiers on my Monte but the fronts are skinnies so I could buy 2 wider fronts and still use the 15x8 rears that have 4" BS right? I pretty much need ideas on brakes, chassis and suspension plus 15" tire sizes. I spent my wholke wad buying this project car so I will be trying to work on a "bang for the buck" mindset. Thanks guys! heres my ride..
