Any recommendations or watch outs????:secret:

Choices are Lennox, Beacon Morris, Modine or Reznor.

All are 45000 BTU output, 0 clearance and can use the existing vertical chimney.

Need to do it this week.

I've never heard of Beacon Morris, but the other three from my experience are good brands. Price on the lennox most likely inflated. Find the best combo between price and where they are made. Buy one made in the USA.

Modine makes nice stuff........I'm getting ready to install 2 overhead units with the stainless steel heat exchanger option. They will be replacing 2 40 year old Modine units......I believe they are 80000 BTU.

Companies i have worked for have sold both Modine and Reznor...both bulletproof unit heaters...if had to choose one over the other, go for price...Reznor might be a bit cheaper but both good choices:thumbsup:

Reznor is the best out there and Modine is OK too.

I don't know about Lennox but some of the name brand companies do not actually manufacture them, they buy re-labeled heaters.
I never heard of Beacon Morris before.

I don't remember seeing any Unit heaters being made at the Lennox plant when I was there but maybe we didn't get to go through that section of the plant.
(I only went to school there for one week.)

When I look at the Modine and Lennox its almost impossible to tell them apart. The Beacon Morris is not reverseabele like others.

I sense I'm at the Modine or Reznor choice :-)

Choice was Reznor.
Best all around deal here. However it did not come with mounting brackets so now I will make some as the factory ones are 10% of the price of the heater .
Will install this weekend.

Been a while but as far as I know they still have 3/8" threaded holes for hanging and it's pretty easy to hang them on all thread rod.
I cut short pieces of angle iron and lag screwed them to the ceiling joists above.
