I installed a msd mod. on my HEI and it worked good for a week or so then one day my motor would not turn over so i put back the old mod. and it started up ,i looked at the msd and it had the smell of burned out wires. could having the timing off cause the nod to burn its self up?
i traced the power wire from the hei and found that the wire must of hit the header, and melted
some of the plastic off of it. maybe that did it??

Sure, shorting it out like that never helps.

I'M hoping that was it, when i installed the msd i hear the diff. over the stock mod. plus i had a
summit 50.000 volt coil . if this is the down fall then i will buy one more , but this time run the wires RIGHT graemlins/clonk.gif
