I have (2) 1970 Chevelles one of which is a parts car and I will be soon striping it. It has a manual steer box in it and I was told some years ago that this box is rare and almost impossible to find ,, is this true? if it is I will take it out but I would just assume leave it in place to make the car easyer to get hauled off by the junk yard , Please if anyone knows this box to be a "hot" item let me know and ill save it, and sell it here or on ebay , Thanks !

Desirable maybe but I don't think they're that "rare".
I bought mine, originally off a '70 SS, complete with pitman arm for $75.
Installed it last summer and works great (tight).
