Took my son turkey hunting tonight. Tried for a double but I had to sit back and let me wack one first. I'm not sure who was more excited me or him! He smoked this 18 lb tom at about 30 yards with a Remington 870 youth with a 3-inch #4 shot. He dropped him with one shot.
How about that grin!?!?!?!

Congratulations to both of you!!! I remember my son's first turkey. We just got back from deer huntin tonight together. My son is 15 now and each year gets better. It's great that you can spend time together outdoors!!
This is a memory that will last him a life time. I'm happy for both of you. Great job dad.

Good shot. My neighbor said a flock of them were going door to door looking for food. If I was around, I could have got one with a frying pan to the head! l:)

Send that boy down here for a week, I've got about 40 of them living on a hill behind my house.
