Hey guys.. Looking to confirm, did the 71 2dr coupe only have 2 seat belts in the back? have 3 little boys I need to strap in and it looks like there's only enough bolt holes for 2 sets. am I missing something or is that all it's setup for?
THanks

Hmmm...I swapped out to shoulder belts on the two outer positions for my boys and I still have a lap belt in the center so I'd have to guess that there should be provisions for a third.

Pat,
I can look at mine on Sunday, the back seat is out, but I am almost certain there is three sets of belts. I think the center set shares the hold down bolts with the outer sets.

Sure enough. I thumbed through my restoration manual and as you said the two center bolts hold 2 pieces each, accomodating the center lap belt. I bought the car recently and there's no belts at all in the back. I think the shoulder belts are going to be a must since my kids are just moving out of car seats and into boosters. I'll have to look around and see if I can locate some.
Thanks again guys!

I installed these in the outboard positions for my kids.

For the upper mounting point I drilled through the package tray and placed a 4" x 4" square of 1/16" thick steel on the top and bottom of the package tray to beef it up.
Of course, this is not what the factory intended, so I cannot "recommend" it as a rule, but I'm merely passing along the decision I made. ;)
