Alright guy's the ElCamino is just NOT fast enough 7.5 @ 91.xxmi
The Elky is 400# heavier than the 84 vette this combo was in previously and it ran 7.2 @ 96.xx mi.
All times are 1/8 mi. that is what we run in Savannah
ELky Vette ME
3430# 3050# 290#
Combo
385 ci sbc
Forged bottom end
SRP flat top two valve relief piston
Dart pro 1 215cc with 64cc chamber gasket matched
2.05in 1.6ex valves
Elde. Victor jr gasket matched to a 1206 gasket
Electric Vacuum pump
CC294xhr hyd. roller 294/301 adv. 242/248@ 50 589/601 lift (this is close I don't have the spec in front of me)
1.6 Harland sharp rockers
1/2" hitman plus NX plate spraying 150hp shot
HVH Super sucker 1"
Holley 750dp W/ 78 square jets
Schoenfeld 1.75" headers
3" exhaust duels dumped before the axle
700R4 tranny (it stays until I blow it up again)
Vigilanty 2800 torque Will stall to 3200
12 bolt no slip locker W/ 3.73 w/SSM upper and lowers
Street tires 325/50/15 DR
Slicks 28/10.5 MT's
All times stated are W/O Spray That is just a bonus
I have worked to jet up/down, timing up/down I started with an 8.0 @ 88.mi and tuned it down to 7.5@91mi with 60'1.6,1.7 range,6.8's w/ 1.5's on spray
My goal is to put the Elky into the 7.1 range or lower on motor then to spray for the bonus(will not run spray all the time)
The basic hard parts will remain short block, Heads, Exhuast, I would like to stay with a roller of some kind but cost to convert to solid roller might blow the bugget.
If I missed any thing let me know
And as always thanks in Advance
Mike
