Trying to find a match for the interior plastiv/vinyll pieces that need painted for my 70 ivory interior. Does anyone have paint codes that match well??? Prefer dupont (distributor very close to my house), but PPG is also welcome (I just have to drive across town). Or if any of the restoration catalogs have it (I am unable to find). Please send me your paint codes if you have had paints mixed to match, or who I can buy it from.

Ryan the best thing to do if you want the best is send a piece of your interior to this place and let them match it for you. I went through this for my parchment on my 69 and everyone said it could not be done. Well they matched it for me after 3 weeks and it was 99.8% perfect:yes:
Here is the original thread I started back in 05 (http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=102717&highlight=Parchment+Dye&page=2)
Remember you have to send it a piece of your material for them to get it right, because not all the interiors are the same color and shade!!!
The place to get it from is called
Bens Auto & Marine Paint Supply
1102 N Dixie Freeway
New Smyrna Beach, Fla 32168

every GOOD auto paint supplier will have "the camera" for duing spectram annalsis just have a good clean piece of the proper color about 2 inch square and flat the store can then mix bulk [ie quart, pint] or jam into aersol, after it comes off the shaker open and dab a little on your sample wait till dry [colors dry darker sometimes] then decide if you want to pay for it,or have them tint to match

Steve if it doesn't match, Marks Auto Supply on Prospect over in Oakland Park matched my last pearl interior dead on with a qt. of vinyl dye. That's the way to go. If you need more info call me or send a PM and I'll tell you how to use it. It's easy.

I used Dupont paint on mine back in 1993. I just happen to have kept the can and it says Lucite acrylic Lacquer on it. This could cause you a problem. But if it helps the numbers wrote on the can are 9715V Ivory Vinyl S. G. mine still looks good after all the years, but if I remember we did a lot of prep. Soak, clean, repeat several times. Hope this helps. Rod Colbert
