#1 Should the filter be before or after the pump.

#2 Is a Holley Blue to small or not enough for my engine.

Scott,

I run an aeromotive -10 filter between the tank and the pump especially since any fragments from the tank or fuel can jam up the pump. 5 days ago I replaced the filter and it was pretty full of debris. I also run a -10 12" long BG filter long the frame rail before the regulator and a -8, 10 micron filter just before the fuel log. All three filters always seem to have something in them whenever I check them out, so I don't think it is overkill.

Yes a Holley Blue is enough, but your pump is getting on in age isn't it? Plumb in a New Mallory 140 with a return style regulator - 4309.

Thanks Tom......Is that the part # 4309.....We are starting to make some head way on the car,The rails should be here today and things will start cooking from here out....Now is the time to change some things like the pump etc while it's out....Chris is doing his fuel sytem now and he is being told a Holley blue is way to small for his motor and he is running 11.80's....

As you stated the blue should be fine,I will tell him what your thoughts are.

Thanks.....

If the weather holds off I plan to take a ride up to the track Wed...
