I am switching from a th 350 to a 2004r, I was told that my converter from my th350 will work on the 2004r if I dont plan on using the lock up.

I would install a lockup converter and get that much more benefit at highway speeds.

It is not hard to install a lockup controller.

Why would you want to install a 200r4 with out the lock-up. If you don't want the lock up then stay with the th350.
