I found a very nice condition 1969 automatic center console recently and was wondering what a dang near mint condition original is worth. The guy wanted 400 dollars for it and I thought that was overpriced. I was thinking around 350 but perhaps im too low? I havent heard anything negative about the reproduction center console kits so paying that much may not be worth it for me. My 69 will not be a stock restoration anyways.

If it includes the shifter and such they typically are in the $4-500 range on Ebay. One on there now that looks decent with a buy it now for $450. A new one which from what I have seen looks good can be bought sans shifter around $300.

No Jeff, it didnt have the shifter. That went through my mind too when I talked to the guy (was at a swap meet) and thought that very same thing too. I dont need a shifter but regardless, if it had a shifter with it, it would have been mine on the spot.
