On chevys with HEI whick plug wires do you not run next to one another to prevent crossfiring?

Also when replacing the timing chain, do you need to replace the oil pump or can you just clean the little nylon pellets from the pickup and leave it alone?

I'd change the pump and screen. Cheap insurance.
