im going to be painting some interior panels on my 72 chevelle. i got a new dash, dash pad, door panels and headliner. im going to be painting the rear side panels, seat backs and center console. i was wondering if i should use dupli color flat black or the gloss black. which is going to be the closet match to the factory finish?

dulicolor is garbage for panels, SEM is made for older vinyl/ plastic interoirs. go with that. i use ti and it works great!

Try ANY auto paint store - Pep Boys and AutoZone won't likely have it (*might) but almost a certain thing you can find at a place that sells paint FOR cars. Try the phone book or internet. You will NOT love the other brands, you WILL love the SEM Landau Black - it looks killer and goes on really easy.

Even if you put on a little too much, it will even out and look great.

Test the Prep-All wax and grease remover on the back of something you are going to paint and see if it ok to use.
Yes use the adhesive promoter just before you paint with the dye and should be still tacky then paint.

another for SEM. There is no substitution, as long as you follow the 4 step process. SEM soap, SEM cleaner, SEM bonding agent, then SEM paint.
