I bought a can of this and the tube of catalyst that goes with it. They give you some ratios on the can, but if you're only mixing a small amount to do a spot repair what color am I going for? Are there any other methods that the "experts" use to make sure they've got it in the ballpark? I don't want to find out the hard way that I was far off in my proportions!

The lighter blue you mix it the longer it takes to kick. So I mix
mine a medium blue and it kicks within 5 min or less. Play with
it a little and you will get a feel for it.;)

A good starting point is to squirt a line of hardener across the amount of filler you have on your mixing board. If it hardens to quick use a little less.To slow use a little more.

I'll add this...I stopped using the Rage Gold and started to use the Marson's premium. It's much cheaper and every bit as good in my experience.

Add about 3/4 of an inch of hardener to a golfball size amount of filler

I would agree with this. Marson makes a great filler:thumbsup:

Yep, regardless of the brand, this is how we did it at the shop. Always works out well. Splat a dollop of filler on your board, then run a bead of hardener across it lengthwise and mix it until it is uniform in color. You'll get a feel for how long it takes to 'kick' after a coupe tries...:D
