spent last weds - sat in Gatlinburg. Always enjoy being in the park. Wife shopps a day and we eat great for a couple days. Went to Floyds this trip. First time in about 8 years. He has sold and replaced a few cars. He has gotten a little heavier in Mustangs. sold the Holly Farms 63 Chevy and the old Earnhardt car Charlie Glotzbach drove Think he had a great 61 Pontiac hd, but all that was there this time was a 62.
does have an ls6, a 69 z and still has the L79 Nova. For $10 it is nice place to spend an hour or two.

spent last weekend in the lake of the Ozarks with GACC car cruise.
The weather was beautiful...we cruised to Bennett Springs and had a blast!
Drove Butter Cup for over 6 hrs and loved it!
Then we all went back to the Quails Nest where most were staying (i am only 35 min away, i drove home) and procedded to have fun watching the cars line up for a video for the chamber of commerce to attract more clubs.
After that was done...the nice young lady said, "you can do burnouts if you want."

I saw a tshirt today in a magazine.
I think this says it all.

"At what age am I
old enough to know better?"

So burnouts ensued.....oh man the best I have ever seen.:hurray:
I am talking WHOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO:beers:
cant wait to get some on here for you.
have to wait to get the video back from the cops. :D
hope ya'll had a fun weekend...gonna rain tomorrow.

I haven't been many(any) places where I thought I could live, but Sevierville certainly makes the list. We spent Thanksgiving down there a few years ago and the kids still talk about it. If I could get one of the cabins up in the mountains, like the one we rented, I'd be a happy guy!

We ride the Harley up to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge/Sevierville often throughout the year.
About a 1 1/2 hour ride. About 100 miles or so but the ride from Cherokee to there is real slow but nice and pretty. I just love these mountains. Everytime I go somewhere else I just want to grab them and hug them when I get within sight.
You can take the boy out of the hills but you can't take the hills out of the boy....or man.

The ride from Asheville to Cherokee isn't any race either, with about 100 switchbacks. Course on a bike, it probably won't matter.

man that's cool
Build and rent the place out until you and wife are ready to move

but coming back to the resort from down in Pegion Forge around 7pm was a slow crawl two to three changes of the traffic lights to get from one light to the next.Three lanes bumper to bumper both directions. they have some bypasses around towns now but they are limited in access so it is ride and wait across town to get to the bypass or just ride and wait heading toward where you were going in the first place
Sevierville is a growing place. Wyndham is building another resort between the town of Sevierville and I-40. this is at the new convention center opened in 2007.
Was talking with some locals they said it's getting year around with the vacationer, little to no quite time.
The wife and I we are staying at Wyndham Smoky Mountains at Governers Crossing near Tanger Outlet Mall.

the weather has been good and we have had a nice vacation

I think it is pretty common for the drive from Sevierville to Gatlinburg to usually take 40 minutes to over an hour. I think the only drawback to living there would be the traffic.
Might be a wonderful place to have a cabin you could live in several months a year and rent the rest of the time. I sure enjoy Gatlinburg and could see cruising around in my Chevelle when the town is full of other cars and muscle car folks. I'd hate to trailer 300 miles. We always drive street rods everywhere and trailering has a stigma to us. I guess I could put in a 5 speed and then drive the xway a little better. na! just leave it as is!
