Apparently there is reproduction vinyl flooring out there now for the 300 deluxe cars ? Has anyone seen it or tried it ? How's it look compared to originals ? I'm dying to hear from anybody about it ! Thx Bob

I have not checked, but ACC is the carpet leader and sells most of what I see used. They can normally make any of them out of vinyl if chosen. You can visit accmats.com and check for your particular car though.

One thing to keep in mind about replacement vinyl flooring is that the mold often does not hide imperfections in the mold as well as carpet. They look great, but may be baggy in places and etc. Heat works amazing wonders though when installing a vinyl flooring and I often use steam and or a heat gun. If it is warm outside, you can sit it inside a hot car or the sun and it will be lots easier.

What I am getting at, is that the vinyl floor may need extra carpet pad in some places to look great where carpet may not. Other than that, the ones I have used from ACC look and work great.

I bought one from ACC a few years ago. They're somewhat similar in appearance to the originals but far from identical. They're made from a thick, heavy, stiff vinyl that's hard to install and trim but molded to fit the floor shape pretty well. It helps a lot to set the vinyl in the car without trimming much and put the car in the sun or put a 110V heater in the car and close it up for awhile (what I did) to soften the vinyl before final trimming.

I have an original set of vinyl flooring for a 300 deluxe, but it has some rips and tears in it and I've had no luck in finding anybody that can repair it ( 2 seperate guys tried !!!)

I used the reproduction from Trim Parts and it sounds like the same issues with the ACC vinyl floor. I had my car in the sun with a ceramic heater and the windows up. 120 degress and a heat gun to boot and it still wouldn't lay down properly.
If anyone finds anything better let me know.
Thanks

The repro mats that I got a few years ago, were more of a hard plastic than the original flexible rubber. Didn't fit the greatest as far as I'm concerned but no one else seems to notice. These mats don't have the pattern under the pedals. A nice, accurate reproduction would be nice. I've posted about the Loctite clear super glue that works pretty well for repairing most stuff.
