496ci to reach 9's in 3400# car will have to built very racy! Are you building strictly race or street/strip? afr's are great but would suggest CNC ported 335's for 496ci as 345 are for well over 500ci! Better signal, plus would upgrade to a Dart intake for the afr. Nice big cam there, will need some stiff rear gears=456's! Pick the right cam, springs and you will make 9's but only if you have suspension to handly that bad boy! I've wanted bo build an engine like yours but am trying to sort out my oil pressure problem with my 468! Goodluck with your buildup! :D

you can do it with a good working car and the right cam @ converter combination. there is no magic combo just a lot of good research and testing and tuning to get it done.you are on the right track.
