I did some searching and havent really turned up too much solid info on the fitment of procar seats. I like the look of the "Rally" style, but they look a but tight in regards to the bolstering. I am 6'5", and have a 38-40 waist. Are the Rally's not a good idea? I'm looking for decent headroom too. Anyone have any pics of rallys or other Procar brand seats installed to give an idea of the headroom/legroom they allow. has anyone ever seen them in the beige vinyl and know how they compare to the original '70 tan interior? Thanks!

They are really nice seats and have heard nothing but good things about them...im trying to get mine in by this weekend. Just working on the mounting holes for the brackets and dynamating the car first.

If you are 6' 5" you may not want to do the Rallys.. They are actually smaller in person that the photos appear, and the big bolsters will keep you lifted up a bit. I had them in my last elky- i liked them, but i'm only 5"11. A friend of mine is as tall as you and his head was always into the headliner.

You might consider their "elite" seats. They are physically a little larger, but have more normal sized bolsters. Another friend of mine has those in his 71, and he's also as tall as you and he loves em.

I have been looking at the procar seats but the ones that interest me are the uncovered ones. I believe that a good upholsterer could modify the bolsters to a more reasonable configuration. I agree the bolsters are way to big both on the back and the seat. I want to be able to get in and out with ease.

Just a FYI... There are big metal bars under the padding that hold its shape- its not JUST big foam, so shaping them isn't going to work unless your guy wants to cut the metal frame and reshape.

I'd get the uncoverd Elite's and have them custom covered to match your interior.

My $.02

I have the Rally's and love them... I'm 5'-7" and have a 34" waiste, and they're perfect for me. Bolsters hold me in place, even when autocrossing.

Thanks for the tips - I did see the Elite series seats which they make in two styles now I guess and thought they would look decent and have good support due to the higher backs. Derek69SS - I came across a bunch of pictures of the seats you have - they look great in the matching upholstery.

I have the Elite seats in my '69 Chevelle and really like them. When I bought the seats (from Summit, the only way to go) I lived near Procar and had a chance to go down there and try them out. I originally had my eye on the Rallys as they look really cool, but when I sat in them it felt like my wallet was going to become a part of my body. The bolsters on the Rallys are too much. I'm 5'11", 200 lbs, with a 36" waist and they were too uncomfortable. My car is a daily driver and I like to take long road trips. The Elite's were perfect. Good bolster but not too much.

Thanks 658 - the pictures give me a good idea of how they will fit in the car and I can tell by looking at them that there is much more room in the seats themselves.
