Up here in Canada We have the "Red Green show". There is a movie out "Duct Tale Forever". Just a crazy movie something along the line of Smokey and The Bandit. He duct tapes everything in sight. He'll love this one.

I loved the Red Green Show. That's some funny stuff right there!

It used to be on PBS, but I don't get to watch much TV anymore.

Is it still on here in the States?

I use masking tape. :)

Red Green is still shown in my area... don't know if they're new episodes or not though.

See that Mark, had you acted on your idea, Billy Mays would be on TV hawking your product. :D

I grew up doing construction work with my Dad. He never was a believer in a first aid kit or even the common band-aid for this line of work. My on the job band-aids were a folded up piece of Dunkin Doughnuts napkin and electrical tape - which was a little bit more flexible and more water proof than duct tape.

I got a book a few months ago at the local Rite-Aid. Wife absconded them because they hold up better in the garden than the regular ones.

That's what I use. It sticks perfectly good fingers together, why not use it for cuts? It's a little warm, but works very well.

Just incase you wanted to know...

http://www.wisegeek.com/can-i-really-use-superglue-to-close-my-wound.htm

Duct tape when it first came to be in 1942 was originally intended for military use in WWII. The war department needed a strong yet waterproof tape to seal ammunition cases.
And the rest is history...

From the article: "...These are thought to help prevent bacteria from forming..."

Don't they have some way to check that?

When I'm in a hurry (which is when I always get injured) I slop some neosporin on there, and close it up with a regular band aid. I have cool sesame street and power rangers ones.

Here's one for the creative youngsters among us: http://www.bestpromdresses.com/prom/2007/06/duct_tape_prom_dresses.html

Thanks JR, but as the article stated," It is true that the US military used superglue to close wounds during the Vietnam War."

It was used on me, but I wasn't concerned at the time what the Corpsman was doing. Hell, I still use it IF the need arises. ;)

brake clean is better than carb clean. As a side bonus this method with either spray helps you find all those little cuts and gouges you didn't know you had. Nothing like a like a little acetone to point up an open wound.

Gasoline and solvent work pretty good too.
