Hi, I have 70 ss396 Conv. It had a domed hood( no flapper door). My question is does the rear of the hood also get a cowl screen. I sold my orginal hood, and I purchased a NOS domed hood to replace it. the body shop called me today, to ask if that hood gets a screen at the back. Because it is closed off. no place to put a screen. I need to know If I have to cut the section out or it does not take a screen. Thanks For any HELP, Ray

Ray, I know my non cowl SS cars have had the screens. I have never looked at an NOS hood that close.The screens would have been there from the factory.

I have an original domed, non CI hood on my car also and it has the provisions for the screen on the back. Mine is installed. I can take a pic if you like.

My 70 one owner LS-5--M-22 has a Domed hood, It has a screen. My 70 wagon has an ORG. 70 Domed hood, It also has a screen.
Your hood should have provisions for screw holes, I agree with the other comments.

Hi, Thats what I thought. Does any one have Goodmark or other repro domed hood, that is sealed at the back? Maybe someone switched the hood and put it in a GM box? I can not find the part number, all I remember are the last 3-digits 022. Everybody thanks for all the inputs.Ray
