Just wanted to toot my own horn for a second since I do not win to often. I went 5 rounds and took 1st. A couple of the runs the mov (margin of victory) was in the 10 thousandths of a sec. There were several hundred cars at this event (divided into time classes). Oh I also scored my first 10 SECOND pass (although I did spray a 150 shot). Banging away on the rev limiter I ran a 10.6 . I need more practice shifting on the bottle (tach moves too dang quick). Hope everyone had a good weekend.

I remember the first time I drove a turbo charged car with a steep first gear. It goes slow until boost, then BAM it swings up like a giger counter over uranium.

Congrats on the winning/ladies/bad-ass-car.

congrats on the win .some real smart guy got tired of trying to watch a tack and invented a shift light

Thanks guys, it is nice to get a cheer from your peers (does that rhyme?). Hey Mike I think a turbo would be a tach machine as well. I have to break the habit of looking at my tach and anticipating the shift light and just watch the road. It looks like may of us had a good weekend racing. graemlins/hurray.gif graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I too study my tach way to much on the 1-2 shift. Good thing I have big front wheels or I may start to wonder out of the groove... Or maybe that's why my 60's are hell. Body roll from steering 30' out isn't a good thing. :D
