OutCast Oct 20th, 08, 10:05 PM Great pic's and vid's guys.
Some nice looking machinery out on a Sunday afternoon.
The Chevy II wagon and the '66 wagon aren't exactly soccer mom rides.
Congrats again on nailing those 11 second runs, Greg.
PONYEATER Oct 21st, 08, 9:16 AM Martin did you try tightening the rear shocks a little, it should get rid of the bounce after it sets down.
Mr. Monza Oct 21st, 08, 9:33 AM Martin did you try tightening the rear shocks a little, it should get rid of the bounce after it sets down.
That bounce is nearly all in the front Bill Parsons and I spent some time getting Taz to hook that good, after raising the wheelie bars one more turn I didn't notice the bounce, think the trick was keeping up on the rears longer allowed the front to come down softer and not bounce (as much), I could have spent all day just going 60' each pass cause It was a real blast doing the launches, they feel alot higher and longer when your slung low in the seat looking over the cowl hood. Brian thanks a ton for the pics and vid!!!! Greg, congrats on the new best (so far) E.T.!!!!
FourEightyNine Oct 21st, 08, 12:49 PM No problem Martin, I just thought that since u have come over to Bremerton so much that I had to return the favor, maybe next season I will bring mine over to race.:D
I tried slowing down ur take off in the close up lanch, and the only thing I saw that looked out of place to me was that after the initial hit, the wheelie bars would be close to the ground(because the tires would wrinkle). And then when the front started to come up the left bar would stay planted but your right bar actually slapped against the ground then came up off the ground, then went back down onto the ground as u started to take off. I didnt know if this is normal or not, since i dont know a whole lot about wheelie bars.
I can send u the whole file so u can slow it down if u like.
PONYEATER Oct 21st, 08, 12:54 PM try tightening the rears it does make a difference in how the front comes down. ;)
Mr. Monza Oct 21st, 08, 12:57 PM Yes, please pm me the file if possible, next year yer gotta come to Pacific, it aint that bad of a place if yer stay out of the politics. Aaron, I wil play around with that next year at some TNT's, I'll twist yer arm in playing crew chief for me sometime and use yer knowledge, thanks!!!!!!!!
PONYEATER Oct 21st, 08, 1:11 PM As long as I am not racing or it is a TnT day I don't mind, I try to be focused on raceday and don't like to do much besides race.
Mr. Monza Oct 21st, 08, 3:43 PM I know what yer mean about 'race day' I'm the same way, I would only steal yer assist at a TNT, Thanks!!!!!!!!
