I was recently given a 402 block and 427 steel crank. Both have already been to the machine shop and are ready to go.Will these work together? If so, what rods and pistons will be required?

You have a 402 with a steel crank.
Only difference between the 396/402 & 427 cranks is the balance was different as the stock pistons were different weights between the two engines.
Stroke is the same ;)

So I could use the stock rods(the same for either motor, right?),flat top pistons, a pair of closed chambered heads and have a nice daily driver? smile.gif
