DSMITH Oct 7th, 99, 5:42 AM I am looking at a Chevelle for sale and just wondering what are SEVERAL easy ways to just "look" at the engine and tell if it is a 307 or a 350? Are the valve covers different sizes, etc... To tell the truth, the 350 Chevrolet looks kinda small compared to an International 345. Any thoughts on this matter, or comments? THanks... Will have the last 6 digits of the VIN of the original car, some other codes indicating where the motor was made, then a 3 letter code ie 123456 K10 CRA We can look up those codes for you if you post em. A four barrel carb, and 8 inch front balancer would indicate a 350, but you still can't be sure a 307 or even a 305 hasn't been transplanted in there at some time.
