Gary - this is the only way I know to get info from you so I'll give it a try. I'm not asking for a direct link - I respect your need to stay somewhat anonymous.
That said, I am in the que for a 572/720 - supposedly 8-10 weeks out; that probably means more like 12-16 weeks - but that's okay.
I recently bought a Meziere 55GPM electric WP for my 434 sbc, but the 434 is going on ebay. I can exchange the sbc Mez for a bbc unit, but will the Mez 55 be aedquate for the 572? It's going in my 67 and will be a street/strip car - no long cruises (less than 100miles for sure).
I will likely have Ron Davis or PRC make up a custom radiator/electric fan/shroud for this application as I will have some clearance issues.
Already talked with Lemons about the headers. After the motor is dropped in and I receive the new MSD alternator and March Billet P/S pump, I'm ready to rock.
Just interested in your thoughts on the Mez 55gpm. I could also use the new CSR 65gpm but would have to have my alt and p/s brackets custom fab'd (not that big of a deal - got a source in Colorado that used to do custom harley parts for me).
BTW, I exchanged emails with Chris Zucker - very sharp, committed individual. I don't think many people realize the vast difference between his operation and "engine assembly companies", the companies I call the "etched valve cover crowd". A key clue to the difference is that nowhere will you find PAS advertising and begging for business by pitching 52 variations of crate motors..."available for immediate delivery". My short engagement with Chris provided me with plenty of evidence that they provide a different level of expertise and execution.
Those that can, do. Those that can't, bitch and moan about those that can....
Best,
