I only got the rolling chassis no engine or trans. has the 5.43 pro gears and spool in the 9" with some old daug herbert axles? atleast he said they are that brand it has 3" wide drum brakes on the rear. it has a line lock and wilwood master with vega disks up front and wilwood adjustable perportioning valve and wilwood rack. it came with drive shaft with 1350 ujoints for powerglide. engine plates for both sbc and bbc. no headers. nowireing except line lock. no fuel lines but does have and aluminum fuel cell and oil filter style fuel filter. no other fuel lines pretty much what is in the picture is what I got plus two shifters one for a th350-400 and one for a glide. and a few misc. parts oh and an extra 26gal aluminum fuel cell. now for what I traded I trated my 62 tempest that I paid $1200.00 for three months ago. here is a link to picks of the tempest I traded for it even up.

not sure abuddie from my local club picked it up from a guys back yard where he had a for sale sign in it but he bought a 60 chevy from another club member so he had to sell the tempest so I bought it. I was with him when he got it it was just north of acron on a back road on the way to the swapmeet your talking about so he may have had it there.

thanks. I had a stock 4 popper one in high school but after the third head gasket replacement my adoptive parents scrapped it. I really wanted to v8 that thing but I was young and they let me drive there 81 camero RS 4speed car to school and my part time job. So I couldnt complain to much lol. The one I had in HS was a 77 sky blue wagon. Iam glade this guy was a pontiac freek lol. I think he knew once I saw the vega I wanted it lol:yes::hurray:

I would say that it was a good deal. I know you could sell the Vega for more than $1200.00

Jeff,
Somehow i missed this post, Probally while we were offline
The Vega is nice, Plus alot less work on you too and you can have fun with it at the track too. The Vega with a solid roller 327/350 will run well into the 10's, well in the 9's if you do it right
Being you got the gear, Build it to rev and use the gear. Go 327 or 350, Should be sweet either way
