I have an 8-point cage in mine...you can see mine on the interior section of my webpage
my webpage (http://www.geocities.com/mcagnew2002)

But here are the requirements:

Roll cage mandatory in cars running 10.99 (*6.99) or quicker, or any car exceeding 135 mph (217.2 km/h). Full bodied cars, with unaltered firewall, floor and body (from firewall rearward, wheeltubs permitted), running between 10.00 (*6.40) and 10.99 (*6.99) roll bar permitted in place of roll cage. Cars running between 7.50 (*4.50) and 9.99 (*6.39) must have chassis inspected every three-years by the ASN and have a serialised sticker affixed to cage before participation. Must conform to specs for body style used, as listed in General Regulations 4.11, 10.6.

I have a 6 point in mine running 10.14 but if I go any faster than 10.0 I'll need more cage. You are good as long as you don't bust into the 9s.

Scott,

Thanks...

When I talked to Fast Eddie, he mentioned that a cage will make the car more rigged (which is good)

Also he took two pipes and tied the cage to the brace that holds the rear upper control arm brackets. I then bought the hotchkis arms that tie the upper to the lower control arm ( I think I have a photo of that in the suspension section

Mike, does yours not go through the dash? Is there any cage in front of your legs?

Tim.

No, nothing in front of the dash. The cage ties in to the crossbars at the front of the doors.

Later I may put the bar in that runs along the dash, and also the ones that tie up close to the upper a-arms...maybe when I get into the 9's smile.gif
