Hey guys,

I have a question. I have cut my front coil springs and dropped my 71 Cutlass about 2 and 1/2 inches. I know there are different opions on how to drop it, but this one worked for me.

What I need now is to determine which springs to use. Should I go with a stock set, or is there a better option since I have cut the springs.

Any input would be appreciated.

ps, what I ment to say was which shock do you think I should use.

two and a half inches is probably too much to run stock height shocks. you're gonna have to measure to make sure you don't bottom them out. As far as dampening goes, since you cut the coils, you changed the spring rate and it will likely bounce no matter what shock you use.
