bought a cheap hvlp gun to spray primer with, has a 1.8mm tip. I'm gonna be sprayin DTM Epoxy Primer and was wondering if the tip would work, I did e-mail the primer supplier and they said to use a 1.4-1.7mm tip. What will happen if the tip i have is too big ? TIA..

Should work, just turn the fluid knob on the back of the gun in some to limit the material output. Might also have to turn the airflow up just a bit to break up the additional material.
