How do you remove the steering shaft from the flexible joint at the end of the steering column on a 70 Chevelle with power steering? Also, does anyone sell the flexible joint? Mine is in bad shape.

There are 2 bolts holding the rag joint to the shaft, remove the 2 nuts from rag joint and pry shaft off of rag joint..it usually is stuck but will come off with some persuasion. Rag joint is held to steering box with one bolt, remove bolt all the way out and spread the rag joint clamp slightly and it will slide off the box. You should be able to get a new one at the autoparts store, they are fairly common.

I apologize for not being more specific. The flexible joint I am referring to is the joint that connects the shaft to the steering column.
Thanks for the responses. The website has been a great source of information.
