Well... I've got a chance at a new motor from a friend of mine. It's a 355 Chevy out of a 1970 GMC shortbed. Here's what's in it...

-Block was bored .030 over and was fluxed and machined
-G.M. Forged Crank
-Eagle (forged) I beam rods
-JE Pistons
-Edelbrock Aluminum heads
-Extremely ported
-Erson Valves
-Roller Rockers 1.6 Ratio
-Cam Dynamics Hydraulic roller cam
-Edelbrock Dual plane intake
-Holley 750HP
-MSD Pro Billet Distributor
-Comes with Water pump, alternator, fuel pump, valve covers, and an extra Single plane intake

The lift on the cam is .568/.576 something along those lines. Can't remember the duration, but it's got a 105.9 LSA on the intake and a 108 on the exhaust I believe. Friend of mine wants $3000 for the motor, has 500 miles on it. Never ran at the track, never been sprayed. Is it worth the $3000, I think it is, but I want to consult with the guys on the site. Going in a '66 Chevelle with a TH350 with 2800 stall and a 4.11 Posi rearend.

Thanks,
Joe Phillips

Will he stand behind it? Why is he selling it? I built my sons 355 for right at 1800.00,but it doesnt have the roller cam or 1.6 rockers. The reason I ask is because you could almost build a brand new motor for that price, but that one may as well be new with 500 miles on it...I'd offer 2500.00 for it smile.gif

He's a good friend, He'll stand behind it. He's selling it because he went against GM policy and bought a mustang. Someone offered him 6000 for the rolling chassis and he sold it, now he wants to sell the motor to hop up the fox body.

??? A cam only has one LSA (lobe separation angle). Are you referring to the ICL where he has the cam degreed to? Intake on 105.9 (just call it 106)
