Has anyone put a rim like one of these on their Chevelles>? I have a 71 and was thinking about it, something different. I would love to see some pics.

Thanks,
Mike

I've always wanted to see these on a Chevelle also.

Awwww and I complimented your car on another thread!! LOL I even downloaded your pic to use on my desktop...wtf.
I remember seeing the salt flat rims on a 67 in one of the mags but nothing on a 71. I like the contrast kind of like the torque thrust d's but everyone has those, so I though the Salt Flats would be different.

are we talking about the same wheels? this is what i had in mind

http://superchevy.automotive.com/51458/sucp-0704-bonneville-salt-flats-racing/photos0-0.html

that could never look good on a chevelle, well never say never. BUT its far reached and it would have to be on an actual salt flat racing car.

Or is there a wheel called the salt flats and im too ignorant to know what the hell you guys are talking about?

Thanks,
MikeI know it's not a Chevelle but have you ever seen that black '69 Camaro built by that well known rod shop in Alabama? With the right stance and fit they would look killer on a Chevelle!

I think Clint44 had some of those on his 68 El Camino a few years back. Looked great with the color of his car. Pics are down toward the bottom.

Mike,
What an interesting post to come by as I was visiting TC to locate a pic of the same exact wheel on a chevelle... wierd. Looks pretty nice on that Elky. I have a black 69 Chevelle and like the look a lot. Another one that I would like to see is the T70R.

Glad to see Clint's car has gone to a Chevelle family. I know he put a lot of money and heart into the car.

That looks great! I almost got these but they didn't have them in 17" discounted and I ended up getting the Meteors. :D

Thanks. I did get the internet special ($199ea! with custom BS) on these and days later, it was no longer listed. I might've been the last one!

Very tough looking, love the color too. Thinking more and more about these style rims. Always loved the cast center look.
