I bought a bird feeder. I hung
it on my back porch and filled
it with seed. What a beauty of
a bird feeder it is, as I filled it
lovingly with seed. Within a
week we had hundreds of birds
taking advantage of the
continuous flow of free and
easily accessible food.

But then the birds started
building nests in the boards
of the patio, above the table,
and next to the barbecue.

Then came the poop. It was
everywhere: on the patio tile,

the chairs, the table.
Everywhere!

Then some of the birds
turned mean. They would
dive bomb me and try to
peck me even though I had
fed them out of my own
pocket.

And others birds were
boisterous and loud. They
sat on the feeder and
squawked and screamed at
all hours of the day and night
and demanded that I fill it
when it got low on food.

After a while, I couldn't even sit

on my own back porch
anymore. So I took down the
bird feeder and in three days
the birds were gone. I cleaned
up their mess and took down
the many nests they had built
all over the patio.

Soon, the back yard was like
it used to be.... quiet, serene
and no one demanding their
rights to a free meal.

Now let's see.
Our government gives out
free food, subsidized housing,
free medical care, and free
education and allows anyone
born here to be an automatic
citizen.

Then the illegals came by the
tens of thousands. Suddenly
our taxes went up to pay for
free services; small apartments
are housing 5 families; you
have to wait 6 hours to be seen
by an emergency room doctor;
your child's 2nd grade class is
behind other schools because
over half the class doesn't speak
English.

Corn Flakes now come in a
bilingual box; I have to
'press one' to hear my bank
talk to me in English, and
people waving flags other
than 'The Canadian Flag' are
squawking and screaming
in the streets, demanding
more rights and free liberties.

Just my opinion, but maybe
it's time for the government
to take down the bird feeder.
Do you agree? If not,
continue cleaning up the poop.

They say a country is judged on how well they take care of their less fortunate citizens. What I always wondered, who are they, who is doing the judging? Just observations, make sure you vote today!:hurray:

I am going to spend a few hours with my Grandson this morning John. I have to pick him up in half an hour. Poleing station is on the way. If ya don't vote, then ya don't get to complain when you don't like what is happening. It is not just your right to vote, it is your responsibilty!

You have hit the nail on the head Terry. My grandparents came to Canada nearly 100 years ago. They came here with nothing but the clothes on their backs, worked hard, recieved nothing for free, raised 10 children to be very productive members of society, and never complained about being discriminated against, although I know that they were. They were happy to be in a country where hard work was rewarded, where in the old country they were basically slave labour. Now, someone can come to Canada and do nothing, but still live as well as someone who works their ass off. This is not right. And to expect special treatment? I have never been given special treatment, why should they? Anyone who immigrates should have the same rights as you and I. The right to make a living, live without oppression or fear, and be a usefull member of society.

its very true what was said. i;m not saying all abuse the system but most do. illegal immigrants think they have rights here. i saw a story where this family from mexico came here, lived here for 4 years and canadian immigration found them and want them out of the country. they made the news and a big out cry for them to stay. i think the government needs new laws for this and same with drunk driving in canada. many immigrants just claim refugee status and there in. they say they will be killed if they go back to there country. it just gets old after awhile, and they have these laws for a reason. also saw a man who is from india who comes here and rides motorcycles. he doesnt want to wear a helmet because he wants to wear his turbin for religious purposes. many of these cases clog our justice system and cost tax payers thousands of dollars per appearance. i am not racist by any means , but i no when my country is getting screwed, i can go on and no but it wont help the blood pressure...

it has certainly gotten out of hand.
to many people with differing views of how things should be.
too many greedy people, politicians, political groups, etc....
everybody wants something for nothing, bottom line is the taxes....
i pay for a lot of crap that does not benefit me or my friends, here and overseas.
