Does anyone have an aiming chart for the headlights of a '69 Chevelle? My lowbeams seem to be on, but my brights are way off. I used to have a '72 Cutlass and the shop manual had instructions (park 25' away from a wall, mark an "x" at... etc) on how to adjust the lights. The Chevelle manual does not.

Any links or info would be appreciated. If someone has a manual with the instructions for adjustments for a different year/make ('68-'72) of GM A body, that would be great too. I could eyeball it, but I don't want to blind any oncoming cars. That would be a dangerous attempt at trial-and-error.

I remember some gas stations many years ago had metal rings they would put over the lights and line them up somehow, but I'm not sure how this worked.

I did it by aiming the headlights at the garage door. I adjusted them until they looked even and about thigh high. Did the brights the same way.

I adjust mine myself. I found that you need to cover the other lights and just work on one at a time that way you can see excatly where each beam is pointed. Lean a piece of plywood, use a floor mat or what ever you have to cover the other lights.
