anyone out there try using the vacuum pump from a newer chevy truck(like an 04) it mounts directly to the booster? just askin for ant info cause they are easier to find thean ones from mid eighties gm cars that are scarce at best in the boneyards now

Hi i just pruchased one. Its gm # 89058946. I plan on mounting remotely not on booster.
I tried to run on bench today but cant get to work hooked up through the self contained vac switch. If i go direct to motor it does run. either i dont have it wired properly or my circuit board or swithc is bad or i dont have wired correctly.
Sorry to hijack your thread but i was actually on here searching for same thing.
You can find info on google on motorhome website. that is where i found out about it and wiring diagram just not sure if wiring diagram is correct or not. it is also called a jc4 pump.
anyone else?
