Now how could I bring back the chrome?, yes...... paint 'n stuff are fairly new to me, but because it's already damaged it's the utlimate way to learn :)

The original finish was not "chrome" at all but "vacuum aluminizing" which deposits shiny aluminum over the surface, the the piece was clear coated then mask painted flat black.
If you want it shiny, you need to use the proper techniques. Easiest and cheapest would be get some aluminum duct tape and cut it to thin long strips - just wide enough to cover the formerly shiny parts. Very hard to cut and apply, this is a perfect part to try this on.
There is also a much thinner very chrome-like mylar that could be used as well, perhaps.
Model makers now have an airbrush chrome-like paint that could be used, too.
Good old silver paint, but that will not achieve "the look" that shiny chrome-like treatments will.
A nice original complete unmolested part can be sent out to Chrome-Tech or other services to bring it back to original, except, it would be up to you to mask and repaint the flat black.

Tomorrow will be te last touch up's, it's getting dark and I don't own a shed or garage, then i'll put the thing together again. :)

Wow looks great and I'm sure much cheaper then buying a new bezel very nice ^.^
