Anybody know if this company is still in business? they make rear control arms that allow you to bolt the early Chevelle 12 bolt into your 78 and up Malibu, no cutting or welding required. Any other companies make these? Thanks guys.

You might try going to Maliburacing.com and searching for posts by Iceman, he makes everything from trans cross members to control arms for G bodies. His name is Rick Fisher and his prices are reasonable. I just purchased a cross member for the T-400 in my 78. It came in only 4 days! His email is Fisher@mo-net.com .
Here is a link to some of his products:

I think SSM is out of business for now but I hope this helps. Gary
Edit: I can't make the link work but thats the page that links to the picture page.

There is some big controversy over south side machine, and someone stealing their patent, or some such crud. I don't remember. If you post over at MR, they'll give you an ear full. ;)

Jegs sells a lift bar, Summit sells a Lakewood liftbar, but I don't know if they'll let you do the rearend swap into a G body

Jegs copied the SSM bars and are now trying to run them out of business. It's on the site here somewhere

I have the SSM bars on my 68 Camaro and a friend has them on his 68 GTO and the products are excellent. No complaints on the product, but those people that were running the place 3 years ago when we bought our stuff were total jerks.

I have that SSM kit on my 78 Malibu. I is great just use a wheel with a 5.5 back space and you are set. My best 60' was 1.44. I would run 1.47 to 1.49 all day long. I had a Hard time getting a set for my 65 Biscayne from them 2.5 years ago. I could never get them on the phone. I called Summit or Jegs they still had some. So I ordered some for my 71 Chevelle at the same time. I had heard that father quite the son and daughter moved the shop. That was 2.5 years ago.
