I have a set of 353049 heads on my '73 454. Would these heads be suitable for a mild to moderate street buildup in a '67 SS? I believe these to be the large oval ports, rather than the "peanut" port heads, is this correct?
Thanks for your advice/opinions.

Those are the ones you want if you can't get the closed chamber 215's. I use the 049's and currently have a set of 781's being done at the shop. The reason the 215's are slightly better is that you can use a flat top piston to get the same compression ratio that you need a dome for in the 049's...no dome, better flame travel.

thanks Robert, I appreciate the input. Glad I don't have to go "head hunting".
