I need help with finding the right size tires to put on my Chevelle. I have numerous sets of 15" wheels i would like to put tires on. I have 71-72 SS wheels, Vette rallys and 86' MCSS wheels i would like to use. All the wheels are 15X7. The tires do not have to be the same size front and back. I really want to put of drag radials on the car also. I have stock/factory suspension on all four corners. The car has 14'' 69-70 SS wheels on it now. Way to small for my engine, they just spin and spin....lol. Any help would be great! TY!!!!

put the 71-72 SS wheels on it with 235-70 on the front and 275-60's on the back

If your going to use those size tires I would recommend you use 15x7 in front 15X8s in the back. This way the amount of "sidewall fatness" looks consistant front and rear.

but if he uses the 71-72 SS wheels they are going to be 15x7's only. i like the rear sidewall buldge of 275's on the 7 inch wide wheel.

bdc1013's velle looks great. 15X8s would be nice in the rear but all the wheels I have are 15X7s. I have so many 15X7s that it would be a waste of $$ to buy new wheels. I can use that $$ to buy other goodies for my velle.

I actually had my rear SS rims widened to 8.25 (or 5.5" backspace). Not on the car yet, but I know they will eliminate that "budge".

who did the work for you and how much did it cost? I received my tires today. WOW they are huge compared to the tires i have on there now!!
