Hello to all. I just joined the forum and I am sure to be using it alot. Just bought a restoration candidate 67 malibu SS clone with 427 and converted to 4 spd. It runs and drives right now and most everything works. The car has manual steering and I desperately need to change it to power steering. I have a short style water pump and would really like to use a power steering pump with the attached resevoir. Seem to have trouble finding all the parts right now. Anyone have any experience or suggestions on this conversion. My other question is this. Thanks in advance.
Welcome to TC Steve. With a short water pump, you will have a heck of a time fitting a PS pump with a reservoir attached if your setup has the alternator on the drivers side as most SWP setups do. To get it low enough to have access you will have interference with the the steering box. There is this setup:

You might call them and see if it works with a driver side mounting of the alternator and will also clear the steering box on a Chevelle. hope this will help you get started. BTW wanted ads should be posted in the classifieds as they are not permitted in the forums. www.chevelles.com/classifieds
Good Luck :)

Thanks alot. looks like that set up will work with the drivers side alternator. I think these same ones are on Ebay right now also.
