Can someone tell me the what the length of the rear springs are for a 72 SS big block 402. I had mine replaced last year and when I jack the car up the springs fall out of place, real pain when are by your self. Someone said it could be the wrong shocks but I want to measure the over all size before I start replacing parts.
The car sits at factory height.

The springs are only held in by the shocks so check to see that they are correct. If they are they should hold the springs into place. Depending where you are there are spring manufacturers like Eaton Detroit Spring who can tell you exactly what went into the car when it was stock.
