I have a 68 chevelle malibu and i put a sb 350 in it and i also have aftermarket hooker headers. I need to know how to mount the stock power steering pump on the driver side from the original 307. Any pictures would be greatly appriciated. This is the last thing i need to take care of before i can fire it up and drive it

not familiar with the 68 mounting brackets, but for the later model GM cars the place there is an issue is the stud bolt that is used for the exaust manifold on the driver's side. I found a simple solution for this is to flip the bolt around and thread the short stud end into the head to hold the header on. than use the long end that normally screws into the head to mount the power steering bracket. I think you have to use a nut on each side of the PS bracket to get it located in the right spot on the bolt, but it's been a few years so I can't recall for sure.

make a spacer about an inch long out of a piece of steel tubing with a 3/8" inside diameter and use the stock exhaust manifold bolt at that location. mock everything up and get an actual measurement for your car- but 1" seems like it's pretty close from what i remember on my Nova. look really closely in this pic, and you can kind of see the spacer on the front header bolt behind the PS pump. why none of the header makers include this spacer with each set of headers is beyond me...

don't overthink things- always go for the simple solution.
