just put in my new radiator from be cool, looks good and i am really impressed with the way it just dropped right in. my next project is to put in an aluminum shroud and electric fan. i dont want anything too fancy, any ideas? i was loking at some of the jegs set ups and am wondering if there setups would be ok. i have an eliminator series be cool radiator, number 10016. would like a full aluminum shroud and a 16" fan.

I bought my fan set up from Alumitech after having tried one from Summit (different from Brian's). I just didn't want to dink around with making my own trial/error brackets. The Alumitech system dropped right in perfectly. It may have cost a couple of bucks more, but at this point, I don't remember what the difference was nor do I care. It was worth it.

you're probably right that getting the all in one perfect fit fan kit and not screwing around trying to get these to fit is a better choice, but mine turned out great it just took more time. Just dont use the straps that go through the radiator.

also, even though the fans cost $205 when i got them, i had to buy a temp sensor module which i think was an extra 40-60 bucks, cant remember, and i took numorous trips back and forth to the hardware store and west marine for fitting, screws, nuts and bolts, wire and connections, conduit, etc.... which was 10-20 bucks here and there. to im sure it added up close to what you would spend on the all in one kit, if it is truely an all in one kit.

These work well for me. They keep the 454 cool, and not difficult 2 install

I have the same setup that Steven has. They along with my aluminum Griffen radiator have cooled my BBC and SBC combos through the Texas heat. Has never overheated not even after hot lapping the car at the dragstrip.

that's impressive. Since those fans dont cover the entire surface, and it is not shrouded near the area that the hot coolants enters the radiator.

My major issue when buying my fans was to make sure the shrouded area covered all of the upper part of the radiator. I guess it didn't really matter.

I also have the flexalite 210 on a 468 with wiend water pump. They are not enough for me when idling for long periods in 85 deg weather. It will go over 220, not sure why, but they did go in nice & clean.Next fans fore me will be 4000rpm or better.
