Natural with surface rust. Or you can paint them with some stainless steel paint.

Gus, I have had conversations with Chris White and Jeff Dotterer about this topic and the end result is:

Some were natural as stated above, but some were painted black.

Each of the assembly plants did it their own way.

I was also of the understanding that springs were natural or dip-painted black. I went with black powdercoating thus time around for added durability, and my car is not 100% correct, either.
