I was on the road all day, but I didn't expect this! I was shocked! I'm a Horns fan but I have great respect for Bob Stoops at OU. He's a great coach and I figured he'd give OU the edge with two equally matched teams.

I did not see this coming.

Randy,
I've been in Okla all my life.
After OU made their first score, I told my wife they were going to loose!
I saw it coming---------------it was inevitable.
I'm not against OU, but tooooooooooooooo many times I've seen them become cocky and over confident after they get ahead. Guess what happened? Yep, I saw it coming.

Something new at Texas these days....level of intensity. Additions to coaching staff are making a difference. Aside from this game I am a die hard OU fan because of all the Texas HS talent that has been there.

The BCS will continue to be a joke until other schools play a schedule like the big 12 and SEC. Big 12 QB's took center stage yesterday. Two td's and a field goal will send you home with a good butt kickin' anymore. With old school programs like Penn State coming back alive it only adds more truth to the statement that without a playoff system a National Championship is a farce . No. 1 still needs to be proven. College football continues to be the greatest show on earth.

I think you need to add the Big-10 into that statement! Any teams that has to play Michigan, Wisconson and Ohio are deffinately proven!!!

This was always my father's (who was born in Stidham, Ok.) favorite game. I always made fun of him because all the Sooner players came fron Texas and all the Texas players came from Oklahoma. Even though OU lost, I wish he was still here to watch the game with me. Go Cowboys (OSU)

This is why I love college football. It's a shame the NFL doesn't even come close to the intensity that every college game has.

You cannot compare any other conference until they beat up on each other all regular season and then put it all on the line again in a neutral site. Nothing is judged more harshly than a loss in the Conference Title game of the SEC or Big 12 , right before the final polls, while the other wanna bees are watching.

IT is the only play-off in college in college football.

I don't think OU went into this game with a "big head"...not even a little bit. They KNEW that this Texas team was going to be a strong challenge. Stoops was well aware that this game was not going to be a cake-walk...so did the players. They made mistakes that cost them dearly (poor kick-off run-back coverage, and a few painful 3 n' outs).

It was very sad to see OU loose this game, but if we can avoid any more injuires the rest of the season, we'll be right in the thick of things. We still have 2 very tough games coming up...Texas Tech and OSU.

The SEC top to bottom is the toughest conference in the land, and The Crimson Tide is BACK!!

Bowl Championship Series................ (bunch of meaningless games at the end of the year that mean nothing to pick the National Champion) don't feel bad Stoops doesn't know what it means either :D He ALWAYS chokes at the BIG one.

Lets all keep in mind that OU had this game well in hand until their star LB left the game maybe for the season. They were in control up till then. They will adjust and play well the rest of the year.

Games with Missouri and Texas Tech will clear it up. Then they have to play that pesky bunch of AGGIES who make their season with this game. No coasting in the Big 12 or SEC. You have to bring your A game every week. OU has to keep that bunch from Stillwater in the back of their minds.

This was a good game to watch. Went to a high school game Friday night that was just as good.
