Hey all, I'm thinking about jumping into this conversion by buying individual parts as I needed them and was wondering if there are any brands of parts to avoid. Does Cardone make decent stuff compared to Raybestos? How about aftermarket spindles and brackets? This ad looks tasty,

But I've heard talk about Chinese spindles being too soft. Are there certain brands of spindles to avoid?

X2!!! I have had bad luck with China cr@p!! I try to buy USA but you have to be careful as sometimes it reads "made in the USA" on the box and "made in China" on the part:( Should ban the junk anyway.

I have heard a lot of good comments about this one. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&viewitem=&item=320200393075 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&viewitem=&item=320200393075)
I don't think you can buy the separate parts for this little.

Ok, Chinese=BAD. I'm looking at some rotors on Ebay, that are advertised as from Right Stuff Detailin. If they're from Canada, I'm assuming they'd be ok? There are alot of drilled and slotted rotors for sale, but I guess the agreement here is that they are overkill and prone to craking. Sorry about the noob questions..

Karl if they were made in Canada they would most likely be nice peices......But the 2 sets I have here were not made in Canada.....RSD informed me there are no factory style rotors made for our cars in the US or Canada today.....All off shore JUNK.

Yep, I followed up, and Right stuff said the same. I've got a discount code for Rockauto, I might go for thier Raybestos rotors. I'll get the pads and calipers locally so if I have any problems I can deal with the store in person.
