: Front brakeline brackets-67?
cuisinartvette Oct 11th, 08, 3:59 AM Front disc....anyone know where I could order up a pair of these?
They are MIA I swear my garage eats parts in the middle of the night lol. They hold the rubber brakelines that come off the caliper to the front frame where they connct to the hard line. Hitting dead ends here. Arghh!! :beers:
cobaltchev67 Oct 11th, 08, 7:45 AM I 'misplaced' one of mine, the right side....so I took the left side one and bent, drilled and painted a pieces of similar thickness metal to a mirror image pretty close to the original. the only basic difference was my brake line hole was totally round when the original has notches in it like an inverse 12 point socket.
cuisinartvette Oct 11th, 08, 7:20 PM I dont have either one, anyone know where to find them?
JWagner Oct 12th, 08, 3:56 PM Try looking in junk yards for a bracket that will do the job. There must be a GM car that used the same bracket or one really close.
MJRIBEIRO Oct 12th, 08, 8:27 PM If you don't need them to look OEM, inline tube has them....
cuisinartvette Oct 13th, 08, 3:35 AM I cant remember exactly how they looked so not sure what to get.
I may try inline tube but honestly Id rather look somewhere else.
Spent enough money there and had to remake all my brakelines anyway this week so they actually fit..
Thanks for offering though.
Anyone have a closeup pic of one of these brackets?
MJRIBEIRO Oct 15th, 08, 8:47 AM I can take pics for you this weekend.....

Just an FYI, these are later 69-72 brackets for disc brakes. They will not work for stock 67 hoses.
The stock 67 brackets have a circular opening with a starburst shaped hole for the hose.
MJRIBEIRO Nov 7th, 08, 3:07 PM sorry for the mis information guys - I learn something new about my car almost every day!
cuisinartvette Nov 7th, 08, 3:55 PM No sweat, appreciate the effort and pics, those always help ID stuff
