i really really like the look of the skinny front wheels....has anyone changed out their front rally wheels to a 4 in or 6 in?....is it practical?.....i have 8 in now in the front.....has it effected the handling at all?...likes and dislikes?

lots of guys have skinny front rims.
you will have less traction for braking and turning as far as handling.
i like the look, but you must be sure the tires are rated high enough to handle the weight and speed of you ride. :)

At the track I run 15X6 GM rallys with 195/75 tires on the front of my 1967.....no problems even around town.

why the /75 are they taller?.....i need the BF Goodrich T/A radial raised white letter....and the TireRack only has 195/60...i wonder if they'll be okay?....

They were left over from a 55 Chevy but fit the wheel pretty good. The 195/75 actually looked better on the 55's 5" rim.

Wouldn't a 60 series tire ruin the skinny look you're after?

I have had the 3.5" wheels on a lot of cars (2 of them in my sig 57 Chevy & 87 Monte SS) no problems. I even had them on a daily driver when I was in high school.

go to summit racing and look up there tire sizes under bfgoodrich, it'll tell you how tall the 60 series tires are and I think you'll find that they are a bit small for a chevelle. 205 75 15s look good with a skinny wheel. I ran 205s on my 3.5 front runners. It always looked flat, sidewall rolled in. Ive got 205 75's on a set of 5 inch welds and they look fine. jim
